How It Works
The on-air hosting of the Radio Recovery is by a process driven group panel, rather than the traditional all knowing "expert" host. The show’s panel of hosts are a cast of characters that fall somewhere between the accomplished healthcare professionals they are and the DJ’s of a Morning Zoo radio show. Executive Producer Steve Kinsella is a big Opie & Anthony fan, so you can expect some edgy humor. Each show features guests in recovery sharing their Experience, Strength and Hope. The hosts interact with the guests by asking poignant questions, and directing the flow of the guest’s story so it is of the greatest use possible for the listener who is still sick and suffering.
Listener participation is one of the most essential elements of the show. It is, after all, the listeners show. If listening while the show is streaming live (as it happens) listeners can call the studio live at 914-450-1724 to ask questions.
If listeners are calling after the live airing of the show (streaming on demand, downloading or podcast) listeners the can speak to one of the operators, leave a message on voice mail, or shoot us an e-mail. Listeners can count on their question being answered on the next show’s “Mail Bag” feature.  |
